James Russo (JJ) is the head instructor of Muay Thai and Kali at Black and Blue. He is a Level Brown in Muay Thai and trained at Five Points Academy in New York City. He also has a blue belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu under Nolan Dutcher.

Nolan Dutcher
Owner
Nolan Dutcher is a Brazilian Ju Jitzu champion and head instructor of BJJ and MMA at Black & Blue. His many accomplishments include a BJJ Black Belt under Justin “Master Chim” Garcia, 22 time NAGA Champion, NAGA Absolute Champion, two time Grapplers Quest Absolute Finalist, USKBA Absolute Champion, two time NYSS Champion, BJJ vs Sambo Champion, 2006 #1, Ranked grappler Gi & NoGi, ISCF Gi & NoGi Champion, BJJ Fighter Submission Open Superfight Champion. Nolan has competed in competitions all over the US and Canada and trained with numerous BJJ legends.

Steve Edwards
Instructor
Steve Edwards is a six time NAGA Champion and two time New York State grappling champion. He holds a Muay Thai record of 1-1 and a pro MMA record of 2-0. Steve came to the sport of Brazilian Ju Jitsu at the age of 23 and immersed himself in the discipline, receiving his blue belt from Helio Seneca while studying under Nolan Dutcher. A year later he received his purple belt from Justin Garcia & Nolan. September 2011 Steve recieved his BJJ brown belt from Nolan. He began training Muay Thai with James Russo in 2007. He teaches all aspects of MMA to anyone willing to learn.

Keith Berish
Instructor
Keith Berish has been fighting in a number of different forms for more than 10 years. He is currently a Brazilian Ju Jitsu brown belt under Nolan, training at Black and Blue, where he also studies Muay Thai and boxing. Keith started fighting professionally in 2010, winning his first pro fight by unanimous decision. He has a Pro MMA record of 3-0 and an Amateur record of 4-0. He is a BJJ, wrestling, and MMA instructor at Black & Blue.

Michelle Duff
Instructor
Michelle Duff has been training Muay Thai for six years under the tutelage of James Russo. She currently holds an amateur record of 1-1. She also trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and won second place at Naga’s Battle of the Beach 2009 bantam weight division. She is an orange belt in Tenshinkan karate and won the kumite novice division, Michelle is also well versed in boxing and is a certified yoga instructor.

Mike Gonzalez
Instructor
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Ellenville, New York, Mike has been involved in martial arts for the majority of his life and holds a black belt in Kajukenbo. He has trained BJJ for over 4 years and currently trains with and holds a purple belt under Nolan Dutcher.
